Creating a link

Set your receiving details and share a clear payment request with a client or friend.

A clear payment link saves the payer from having to ask which token, network, or address to use. Start with the receiving details you want and add enough context for them to recognize the request.

Prepare your receiving details

Choose the recipient account or receiving wallet, a supported receive asset, and the network where you want the funds to arrive. Agree the requested amount with the payer before sharing the link.

Be precise about the network. The same token name can appear on several networks, and the network is part of your receiving preference.

Create and share

  1. Open the payment link flow in the app. Connect the wallet or account required by that flow.

  2. Enter the payment information. Set the amount, preferred receive asset, and receive network. Check the recipient details carefully.

  3. Add a useful description. A short label such as “September design work” helps the payer recognize the payment and helps you find it later.

  4. Review optional settings. If expiry or additional fields are available, set them for this payment. Do not assume an option exists if it is not shown.

  5. Create the link and check it. Open the generated link to verify the public payment details before sending it to the payer.

  6. Track the payment. Use payment activity to check the outcome. Sharing a link is not confirmation that it has been paid.

Make the request easy to recognize

Share the link with a short message that names the work, amount, and purpose. Avoid relying on a shortened URL or an unexplained link when the recipient might not expect a payment request.

For repeat interactions, Reway Identity can make the recipient easier to recognize.

The payer selects from the supported assets available to them. Their quote determines how much they need to spend and the associated costs.

When checking the result, compare the receiving asset and destination network as well as the payment amount. See dashboard and activity for the information to keep with your records.
