Fees and gas

Understand the quote, network costs, and when gas abstraction may apply.

The cost of a payment depends on its assets, networks, and available route. Review the quote for the payment you are making rather than relying on an example or an earlier payment.

These docs do not specify a fixed fee schedule or promise a particular settlement time.

Read the quote

ItemWhat it tells you
You payThe source asset and the amount you are being asked to spend.
They receiveThe expected output asset and amount on the destination network.
Estimated feesThe costs shown for this payment and route.
Network fee or gasWhat is required to submit the relevant on-chain transaction.
Estimated timeThe expected duration under the current route conditions.

Check which costs are included in the displayed total and which your wallet shows separately. If the quote changes before you confirm, review the updated amounts.

Gas requirements

Gas is the network fee used to process a transaction. Depending on the chain, wallet, and route, you may need to hold the network's native asset even when you are paying with a different token.

Having enough value in a token does not always mean you have enough native gas to submit the payment. Follow the requirement shown for the specific transaction.

What gasless means

Gas abstraction is a planned improvement to reduce the need to separately obtain a native gas token. Possible approaches include sponsored fees, supported smart accounts, paying fees with another token, or covering gas within a route.

A route is only gasless when that route actually supports it. “Gasless” can describe how the fee is handled; it does not by itself mean the entire payment has no costs.

Output and timing

Token conversion and route conditions can affect the quoted output. Where price impact is shown, review it alongside the receiving amount. Quotes and time estimates should be treated as current estimates, not guarantees for a later attempt.

If a payment takes longer than expected, check activity and follow pending payment troubleshooting before trying again.
